-Discussed the effectiveness of the Grub Master Position,
-Discussed how to integrate the new scouts into our troop and how to build better bonds between the older scouts and the new scouts
-Discussed that some higher, teaching positions need to be Star or Higher
-We need to reading patrol again because one of the patrols has become extremely small
-We should publish all of the goals of the leadership positions
-How to make rocket camp successful
-Open House Suggestions, camp fire skits,
-Comments on Derek’s and Skyler’s leadership
-Talked of how to get more of the old and new scouts to be more involved

-We watched a video of child safety
-Patrol Reports, Patrol Leaders should write more detailed info on the Patrol Reports
-This weekend, Sunday 9-12 A.M., there will be an adventure crew painting the YAC, Service Hours will be available
-The Rock Climbing outing will be in November, the Rock Climbing merit badge will be available. Sign up with Alexander

-Discussed when we could watch “A Time to Tell,” probably next week
-The theme for October is Awareness
-The patrol meetings will be at the patrol leader’s houses
-The Astronomy Campout is coming up on the 28-30th of October, the menus should be formulated at the next troop meeting, finished at the following patrol meeting, and brought in for approval by Rory at the following troop meeting
-We will play the Balanced Meal Game at the next troop meeting, where patrols would have a chance to compete with other patrols for a prize
-October 22 will be a Troop Merit Badge Day for Communications
-Josh will be the Rocket Camp (November 4) Scout-in-Charge
-Where are the troop ropes?
-Patrol leaders should expect free time after meal planning
-Discussed possible plans to have a Dutch Oven Cooking Training at Sage Canyon

-We had many new Scouts today Yaaayyyy! :
1. Andrew who goes to Oak Valley Middle
2. Conner who goes to Ashley Falls
3. Max who also goes to Ashley Falls and brought 2 other friends :O WOW!!! He deserves 300 cookies
4. Miguel goes to Ashley falls
- Alexander Kim is going to Solid Rock Gym to finish the Rock Climbing Merit Badge, if you need to do the merit badge contact Alexander ( P.S. Rock Climbing is the funnest (is that even a word?) merit badge!)
-We are going to have a raffle for a Scout Shirt next week
-We will be going to Emerald Bay next year! There is only room for 7 more scouts!!!
-If you need any shirts see Dr.Harmon
-There is going to be one more Weekend Popcorn Sale at the Vons Torrey Hills this Sat + Sun
-Aaron is becoming Eagle soon and wish him a happy 18th Birthday Tomorrow!!!

-The next 2 weeks will be at Sage Canyon and the 1st week of October will be at Sage Canyon
-We are soon starting the Communication merit badge, contact Mrs.Lee if you are interested

-we will be doing a 360 survey with merit badges and rating the leaders next Tuesday
-We should devote time during the meetings to do specific merit badges that the scouts will express interest in on the survey next week
-Joshua Tree needs a scout in charge
-Talks of starting the Jewish, Catholic, and Presbyterian religious emblems with a presentation on September 6
-we will be giving out raffle tickets until 6:45 for a drawing at the end of the meetings
-We will emphasize notes more often
-Talked about how to get people to respect our patrol leaders
-talked of issues regarding common patrol meetings and discussed the possibility of moving back to our old system

-September 18 5 A.M.-5 P.M., there will be a “Bunny Fest” where you could do some service hours.
-Alex is now a Scout Yayyyy DDD

-We will be back to Class A’s on September 1
-The first aid, family life, personal management merit badges will be completed/started in a few sessions next troop meeting, August 23, and Citizenship in the Community session for finishing it will be on August 25
-Skyler suggested that we have a survey on leadership and troop meetings. It will be at the next meeting
-Next week is a troop meeting and the week after is a patrol meeting
-We are going to send out an
e-mail to see who will attend the next meeting and plan accordingly
-Hawaii report/handing out Hawaii awards is next week, Philmont report is the troop meeting after
-The patrol meetings after next are the deadlines for having the patrol yell/stuff done
